Who Are We?

This web site is a partnership between Jesus Christ and one of His servants. Here is a very brief biography of Jesus Christ. The complete version is found in the Word of God:

Jesus Christ is the Creator of everything that exists, both in heaven and on earth. He is the Son of God, the Redeemer who shed His precious blood for us. He is the Word of God made flesh, the eternal, all-powerful King of kings and Lord of lords. He made us, He redeemed us, and He is coming back for us. He loves us with amazing love, and offers to come and dine with us, as we feast on His Word. He is awesome! If you don't know Him yet, click here.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

One of His servants, that's me, Linda Kirk, one who is totally captivated with Him! He is literally my Life! His wonderful Word, the Holy Bible, has become my greatest treasure. I'm not just talking about a book. I'm talking about precious promises and powerful principles that have become a part of me. Wordkeeping has become my highest delight.

Life is a journey toward our final destiny. We choose what will guide us through life - the wisdom of God's Word, or our own foolish, inadequate wisdom. Before I discovered the beauty of the Word, I made a mess of my life trying to follow my own wisdom.

How good God is to give us His Word. Without the hope, the guidance, the power, the wisdom in its pages, I know my life would be a wreck. How many times God's Word has kept me from making foolish decisions! And when I have made some wrong choices, I found forgiveness in Him, and power to set me back on the path of righteousness.

I have no fancy credentials, except the anointing of the Spirit. My desire is that you will come to appreciate the Word of God as I do.

This website is for one purpose only: That is to exalt my Lord and His precious Word. All the time, expense, and effort put into this ministry is a gift to Him, for the benefit of His children. There is no hidden agenda to make a profit, to sell you email address, or in any other way to use this website for my own monetary gain. Jesus gave of Himself for me, so I gladly give a little token of my appreciation back to Him.

On a more personal note, I have been a committed Christian for 30 years. I have a super husband, 3 wonderful adult daughters, 2 wonderful adult sons, and 2 adorable adopted children, ages 1 and 2. Truly, I am blessed!

How to Get to Know Jesus Christ personally:

Just the fact that you are reading this web page proves that the Holy Spirit is drawing you to Jesus. If you do not resist Him, you will be drawn into a relationship with Jesus!

The Holy Spirit teaches us the truth. Part of this truth includes our condition without Christ. We must recognize that being "good" does not make anyone a Christian, for God's Word declares "There is none who does good, no, not one." (Romans 3:12) Just doing the best you can does not make you a Christian, for God's Word declares, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Being a member of a church does not necessarily mean you are a Christian, for again God's Word declares that many have a "form of godliness but deny its power. And from such people turn away!" (2 Tim 3:5)

Sinners need a Savior, because "The wages of sin is death." That's bad news. The good news is "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Jesus Christ died on the cross of pay the penalty for our sins. He died our death, so we could live His life! He was the Lamb that was slain for you and me.

John the Baptist proclaimed the solution to our sin problem. "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29. Beholding the Lamb means to look at Jesus, through reading the Word. The Bible becomes the Living Word when we have a seeking heart, and read it to learn about Jesus. The more we look, with our spiritual eyes, the more we love Him. Then we really know how much we need Him.

We begin to admit our helplessness. The Holy Spirit, speaking through the Word causes us to confess that we are a guilty sinner in God's sight, for we all have broken His commandments, and "All the world has become guilty before Him." (Romans 3:19) We confess that we cannot save ourselves, for "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." (Romans 2:8)

We confess that we are hopelessly lost and under condemnation without Jesus as our personal Savior. "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." (Luke 19:10)

And reading the Word gives us faith to believe the Good News that Christ died for the ungodly "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) He died for you and settled your sin debt on Calvary's cross.

The Holy Spirit helps us believe the glorious news that Christ was raised from the dead, and by the power of God is now able to save all who come unto God by Him. (Heb. 7:25)

So, we call on the name of the Lord Jesus, on bended knees, with a sincere desire to be saved from our sins, for God has promised that "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

Then we are to rely on God's sure promise, not upon your feelings, and by faith declare we are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, shed for the forgiveness of our sins, and openly confess Him with our mouth as your Savior and Lord. (Romans 9-10).

Now, we "rejoice in hope of the glory of God" (Romans 5:2) because we have been set right by trusting in God's Word, and we have wonderful peace in our hearts. We have opened the door of our hearts, and invited Jesus to come in. We are ready to enjoy the Feast of the Word with Him, every day!
